Were looking for an Audio Electronics Engineer with specific skills in tuning to join our core hifi team. In this role you will design and develop hardware for Cambridge Audio products ensuring reliability quality performance and worldclass sound.

Key responsibilities:
End to end electronic design of audio products from initial concept through to product end of line testing including full PCB schematic and layout.
Technical project engineer; taking an overview of the product/project and how different hardware elements work together including individual PCBs software and mechanics.
Own and continue to improve the Cambridge Audio signature sound.
Listening and product tuning: For the majority of core products where tuning and listening take a high priority they will need to be tested listened to and tuned to ensure they sound as best as they can be within the restraints of deadlines and what is required.
Structuring and facilitating listening tests to determine how a product needs to sound and confirming if the target has been achieved successfully. Including competitor performance analysis.
Product testing ensuring high performance and reliability.
Some management of Altium libraries and our Cognidox data management system with assistance as and when necessary.
Who we are looking for:
This role is suited to an individual who is passionate about audio and meets the following desired criteria:
A Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject
A passion for audio and the products that Cambridge Audio develops.
Requires a critical ear for detail.
Knowledge and experience in psychoacoustics the psychology of how people perceive sound and specifically the enjoyment of music.
A minimum of 2 years experience working on similar products in the Audio sector.
Previous experience owning end to end electronic projects.
Indepth knowledge and experience in design best practice and methodology.
Good problem solving and testing skills.
Persistence and tenacity in product tuning the ability to continue working until performance is optimal.
