Description
For over 50 years Phoenix Houses of NY LI has helped thousands of people overcome addiction to lead healthy productive and rewarding lives. The summer internship program provides college students who have an interest in healthcare public health or social services the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities challenges and skills involved in the daytoday management of healthcare and residential facilities while contributing to reallife projects. We are looking for a dynamic energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting various departments (i.e. HR IT Admissions Nursing Executive Office etc.. You will be working closely with our team to conduct research capture and enter data assist with projects and attend meetings where you will be asked to take minutes and other administrative duties.
To be successful as an Intern you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will be involved in upcoming projects as well as assisting with current campaigns.
Details:
- Internship will be ten 10 weeks from (June 2025 August 2025
- Schedule: 35 hours a week
Qualifications
Intern Responsibilities:
- Fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors from several departments.
- Attending meetings and taking minutes.
- Performing research at a supervisors request.
- Researching and assisting with various projects
- Updating social media platforms.
- Clerical tasks such as (Filing copying data entry organizing etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Intern Requirements:
- Classification for Fall 2025 must be a college sophomore junior or senior or Spring 2025 graduate
- Must have an academic record of 2.80 g.p.a. or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Must show a sincere interest in and/or commitment to a career in healthcare or addiction recovery services
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A..
