The Receptionist serves patients by greeting and helping them as they enter the clinic and over the phone. Under close supervision this position meets and greets patients and hospital guests answers phones and takes messages and provides accurate directions both within the hospital and directions toandfrom all organization facilities. The schedule for this position is Monday Friday 7:00am 3:30pm.
Responsibilities
Greets patients and personnel as they enter the hospital and organizational facilities.
Facilitates the checkin process serving both patients and medical staff and arranges or provides escort services as appropriate to ensure the guest arrives at their appointment.
Ensures that the patient fills out required paperwork and that records are filed appropriately.
Answers phone calls made to the hospital and organizational facilities and provides nonconfidential hospital information as necessary.
Performs quality checks of patient records and ensures documents are filed away appropriately and securely.
Performs routine clerical and administrative tasks as assigned in order to ensure the hospital information desk is running smoothly and efficiently.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year of experience; Proficiency in Microsoft Office
