As an Aide Trainee you will be responsible and accountable for learning the duties of a Residential Services Aide and begin with a paid inclassroom and onthejob training program. You will learn how to care for and assist people with Intellectual Disabilities living at the Selinsgrove Center. Upon successful completion of a sixmonth probationary period as an Aide Trainee you will be promoted to a Residential Services Aide.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Fulltime employment.
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits pay increases paid leave and holidays as well as opportunities for career advancement.
- Work hours during training: 1st shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Work hours after training: 2nd shift 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
- Rotating schedule with every third weekend off.
- Travel and overtime as needed.
- Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38390.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- No previous experience needed training provided.
Other Requirements:- You must meet thePA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements follow thelinkand click on Residency.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:- A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
