Description
PRIMARYPURPOSE:

TheprimarydutyoftheSecurityAssistant ShiftManageristooversee andmanageemployeesassignedtohis/her shift.Thisposition ensures that operations are staffed efficiently ensures that employees perform to established expectations and promotes a safe environment for guests and employees; all duties are performed within the companys policies and procedures and applicable gaming and state laws.

Responsibilities
PRINCIPALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Managesecurityofficersdepartment operations andsupport staffincludinginterviewinghiring creating employeeschedules implementing approved procedures training and evaluating officers enforcing policy and administering disciplineandcoachingasneeded. Developdirect staff plan workassignmentsand providestationcoverage.
  • Overseeguestandemployeesafetybypromotingasafeandsecureenvironmentandimplementingandenforcingstate andlocaljurisdiction regulatoryandcompany policiesandprocedures.
  • Actasaliaisonwiththeappropriateoutsideagenciesduringsecurityincidents.
  • Assistmanagementwithonsiteinvestigations;coordinate and supervise onsite investigationsasdeemednecessary.
  • Monitorandsupport securityrelatedprocessing.
  • Ensure guest questions and concerns are addressed immediately either personally or by contacting the appropriate departmentormemberofmanagementtoobtaintheanswertothequestion orobtainassistanceinresolvingtheconcern.
  • Respondtoguest andemployeeemergenciesandreportedthreats documentincidentsandensureproper escalationfor reporting and resolution purposes.
  • Performotherjobrelateddutiesasrequested.


Qualifications
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS:
  • Highschool diplomaorequivalent.
  • Two 2 years of direct security experience in a highend resort/casino environment or law enforcement and/or militaryexperiencewithprevioussupervisoryexperienceorinateamleadercapacity.
  • Workvariedshiftsincludingweekendsandholidays.
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
  • Gaming Permit as applicable to jurisdiction.
  • Valid state issued drivers license.
KNOWLEDGESKILLS ANDABILITIES:
  • Ability tomaintainprofessionalismandmasterleadershipabilities
  • Knowledge andunderstandingofresortcasinoand/or hospitality investigation
  • Proficiencyincomputer softwareincludingOutlook MSWordExcelandPowerPointaswellasofficeequipmenti.e. telephone copier fax machine
  • Excellentcustomerservice skillsandinterpersonalskillstoeffectivelycommunicatewithallbusinesscontacts.
  • AbletoeffectivelycommunicateinEnglish inbothverbal andwrittenforms
  • Extensive experience inverbalandwritteninvestigative reporting
WORKINGCONDITIONS:
  • Regularlyscheduledhours.
  • OtherMustbeflexible ifneededforoccasionalworkoutsideofnormalbusiness hours.

This position mayrequirestrenuous physicalactivitiesandexposuretopipecigar and/orcigarettesmoking. Anability toworka flexible schedule including extended hours weekends and holidays may also be required.
