Job Description
- Ensure the constant availability of approved raw materials in optimal quantity at optimal costs to achieve uninterrupted operation at the manufacturing location.
Thiswill involve:
a) Setting up of inventory normscalculating material requirement derived from the production plan
b) Constant monitoring of inventory levelsin the pipeline.
c) To support the SBU in ensuring timelypayment of dues to the vendors
d) To be alert and cope with situations ofunplanned surge in demands
resultingin resource constraints
- To constantly evaluate and optimize cost components including vendor margins for various products.
Thiswill involve:
a) Preparing / updating the cost sheet forall raw materials indicating all the costs of all input raw materials.
b) Constant monitoring of the markets tokeep abreast of development therein and harness opportunities to improve inputraw material prices.
c) To interact with vendors and explorepossibilities to improve quality
Supply and optimize costs.
- To set up MIS to gather and analyze data on raw material demand supply price trends and forecasts. Collection collation and trend analysis based on information from web sites subscriptions networking and published data.
