Thorne Harbour Health is currently seeking a suitably qualified and skilled financial counsellor passionate about supporting the wellbeing of our LGBTIQ communities.

About the program/role
The Financial Counselling team at Thorne Harbour Health (THH) provides vital support to LGBTIQ communities experiencing financial hardship housing insecurity and economic inequality.
The Financial Counsellor will play a crucial role in delivering free confidential and nonjudgmental financial support to LGBTIQ and HIV individuals facing financial hardship. While the primary focus is on rental and mortgage stress the role also offers tailored financial advice advocacy and empowerment strategies to help clients manage debt and navigate financial challenges related to family violence and AOD issues.
To be considered for the role candidates must hold the following qualifications:
Diploma of Financial Counselling;
Eligibility for membership with Financial Counselling Australia (FCA) or relevant statebased association.
