About the job
The Financial Reporting and Governance Team is looking for a Global Controller External Reporting and Consolidation. This is a key position that will be responsible for global financial consolidation in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and PCAOB financial statement preparation. The position will have a priority focus on internal controls over financial reporting and will work with key executive positions within the organization.
As a Global Controller you will:
- Have overall responsibility for U.S. GAAP consolidation and statutory reporting ensuring timely accurate completion of financial reports and disclosures for all required filings
- Coordinate and manage the audit annual and quarterly reporting and monthly close.
- Be primary point of contact with external auditors for audits financial statement preparation reporting filings and research/documentation of accounting positions.
- Lead and coordinate development and maintenance of accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures
- Lead the monthly quarterly and annual financial close including reviews of the consolidated entity and subsidiaries to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and accurate external reporting
- Research and stay current on complex or emerging accounting issues from the SEC FASB IASB and other regulatory bodies
- Organize and manage projects to completion; leads implementation of process improvements
- Manage the functionality of the financial reporting systems and applications
- Participate in/lead special projects and ad hoc requests as needed
- Complete other government financial reporting requirements including census reporting
- Perform advanced problem solving and complex analysis
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business
- CPA and public accounting experience required (Big 4 or a large regional firm)
- 12 15 years of accounting experience of which 24 years with SEC reporting experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of related education training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience with internal controls COSO framework and familiarity with SOX 302 and 404 requirements
- Accounting system implementation experience
- Ability to work closely with and present to senior management and external advisors
- Breadth of knowledge across tax audit treasury financial analysis & reporting information technology legal business and operational areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills applied effectively to a multinational environment/audience
- Strong software tool skills including Microsoft Office Suite general ledger package(s) financial reporting tools data analysis software and data management tools
- Ability to understand and interpret financial/performance data in a multicurrency environment
