We areseeking a motivated analyst of African politics and political economy to belocated in the firms DC office. The candidate willhave an indepth knowledge of subSaharan Africa ideally with a focus on francophoneWest Africa.
In this position you will provide research and analytical forecastsfor a wide range of multinationals and financial institutions for the firms Africa practice. You will have the ability to analyze politicalsocial security and economic trends in a fastpaced and forwardlooking mannerthat helps clients gauge future risks and opportunities. You will assist indeveloping coverage of political and economic issues in the region that are relevantto Eurasia Groups financial corporate and government clients many of whichhave diverse exposure to African markets.
Youwill produce multiple pieces of researchboth short eventdriven analyses andlonger reportsunder tight deadlines. You must have excellent and succinctwriting skills at native English level and must be a skilled oral communicatorand presenter. You must be able to manage competing demands on time. You will have a bachelors degree in political science or other relevantdiscipline (African studies economics or international relations) and aminimum of one year of relevant work experience.
