DescriptionProcurement/Data analyst
Experienced Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Procurement Analyst in the Sourcing & Procurement Department will be responsible for savings tracking scorecards / dashboards of supplier performance sourcing scenario analytics helping to build out negotiation strategies and tactics using insights gleaned from data managing spend across categories tracking spend over time root cause analysis for spend variances and compliance monitoring. This is a new position in a growing department that will lead the design and development of processes and controls for analytics.
What Youll Do
- Data extractionExtracts structured and unstructured data from every potential source like data mining and compiles it in one database. Once extracted artificial intelligence algorithms cleanse and normalize the data. Ensure information from data sources is accurate.
- Own and drive all sourcing analytics throughout Sourcing & Procurement team
- Help to build out negotiation strategies and tactics using insights gleaned from data
- Identify critical negotiation tactics for sourcing events e.g. highlight what the ask is for each supplier
- Develop and manage Procurement performance management processes including pipeline resource management and reporting
- Create dashboards / scorecards for suppliers across all spend categories in power BI
- Manage track and monitor spend across all categories over time offer rootcause analysis for identified spend variances
- Monitor supplier compliance by identifying price or volume variances and conduct deep dive analyses on rootcause
- Provide data analysis on progression of initiatives and how theyre performing e.g. actual vs. expected results
- Execute or support knowledge management & special projects initiatives
- Drive spend aggregation vendor consolidation and strategic sourcing disciplines
- Analyze invoices and Accounts Payable (AP) data identifying opportunities for improvement
- Data categorization and enrichment Cleansed data is classified into defined categories. Exact data classification is required to ensure users can easily review analysis data and manage it. Information is presented using a clear deep taxonomy enabling customers to gain complete global spending insights.
- Analysis and reporting Once information is fully classified analysis begins and its benefits can be fully realized. Spend analysis shows purchasing KPIs metrics and trends via dashboards allowing organizations to make better supplier sourcing decisions ensure ontime delivery and identify cost savings opportunities.
Key Expertise Areas
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Analytics Finance Accounting Economics Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of purchasing/sourcing experience
- 5 years of data/supply chain analytics preferred
- Experience In Technology Industry Is Preferred
- Training in supply chain analytics is preferred (optimization scenario analysis forecasting etc.
- Proficiency in Excel is a must
- Experience in procurement / sourcing tools is preferred
- Must possess strong communication interpersonal and influencing skills
- Must possess strong analytical skills and be numerically astute with strong demonstrated problemsolving abilities
