Job Description

As the Title Clerk and Billing Admin you will be responsible for processing car deals. Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and routine accounting functions.
  • Process new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
  • Prepare tax and title documents.
  • Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
  • Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
  • Prepares payoff checks for vehicle tradeins.
  • Maintains a system to verify outofstate titles.
  • Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of the month.
  • Stays abreast of title regulations and attends any available training on title regulations.
  • Works with F&I managers and sales personnel on keeping them up to date on all title regulations and procedures.
  • Document filing and scanning of processed car deals.
  • Provide clerical and administrative assistance to departments as needed.

Qualifications
  • Automotive dealership experience preferred.
  • Experience processing tax and title documents a must.
  • Positive attitude & outgoing personality.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Professional appearance and outstanding work ethic.
