DISHER is partnering with a nuclear fuel producer in Wilmington NC to fill their Controls Engineer position. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with other key stakeholders The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design documentation and implementation of control systems necessary for new process equipment gas handling and storage system software support systems and other ancillary equipment required for the companys technology development.

What you will get to do:
Create and execute control solutions for both current and future needs to advance enrichment technology.
Collaborate with the engineering team to strategize and choose control systems for automating the operation of equipment and systems involved in the enrichment process.
Work alongside technicians to design and install control systems necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Oversee the commissioning and testing of control systems confirming that all functional and operational requirements are met.
Coordinate the integration of equipment control systems into the overall plant control strategy ensuring the appropriate data is captured and stored as needed for operational and reliability analysis.
Design control strategies based on process flow descriptions.
Develop operator HMIs to assist in the operation of equipment and systems used in the enrichment process.
Prepare documentation for the selected equipment and systems to support procurement fabrication installation commissioning and operation.
Maintain design/test records and Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) compliance
What will make you successful:
Active DOE/NRC Qclearance or equivalent DOD Top Secret or ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Qclearance.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Experience with PLC programming
Familiar with control valves pressure systems and field devices (Pressure gauges thermocouples flow meters level sensors)
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
Experience with AllenBradley/Rockwell Automation software (FT View Studio 5000 RSLogix 500
Familiar with industrial Networks (TCP/IP Ethernet/IP Modbus TCP/IP RS232
Proficiency in control system design utilizing methods such as cascaded control loops timeproportioned control and predictive control algorithms
Familiar with SCADA systems data historians and experience with NIST SP80082 or ISA/IEC 62443
Proficiency in working closely with operators to design and modify highperformance HMIs with experience in classified and/or highly regulated environments
Ability to work extended hours on occasion and travel as required
