Relationship Manager Engagement & Communities (MN15

Contract: Permanent working 35 hours per week(Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work and welcomes applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: 36987 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme generous annual leave and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Nottinghamor Birmingham (The role can be based at one of the office bases listed; however we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular onsite contact days with other members of the team normally 12 days a week)

Arts Council England requires a collaborative and inclusive Relationship Manager with knowledge and experience of engaging communities from a wide range of backgrounds in culture and creativity particularly those who may be less likely to engage to join our supportive Midlands team at an exciting time for the region. The successful candidate will support the delivery of our strategyLets Createas part of our commitment to a country transformed by culture.

The relationship manager should ensure that they can effectively and credibly advise and support creative practitioners and organisations and should be passionate about broadening engagement in creativity and culture through cocreation coproduction and empowering community voice.

If you were currently doing this job here are some of the areas you would have been working on this week:

  • Giving funding advice assessing grant applications understanding project information and monitoring the performance of funded organisations and projects including NPOs and Creative People and Places programmes
  • Analysing financial information identifying investment risks and providing feedback to applicants
  • Sharing your expertise internally and externally related to Communities and Engagement as well as working outside your specialism on a range of Arts Council initiatives
  • Supporting the Arts Councils placebased approach by undertaking development activities in designated Priority Places
