Job Summary
Covet.PDX the signature restaurant at Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland is seeking an enthusiastic and serviceoriented AM Server to join our dynamic team. As an AM Server you will be the face of our vibrant morning dining experience providing exceptional service and ensuring our guests start their day on a high note. Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly establish rapport and deliver prompt attentive service in alignment with Hyatt Centrics friendly freespirited brand voice.
- Order Management: Accurately take and input food and beverage orders into the POS system ensuring special requests and dietary needs are communicated effectively to the kitchen.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings including ingredients preparation methods and beverage pairings to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
- Table Maintenance: Ensure tables are clean wellset and properly maintained throughout service promptly addressing guest needs or concerns.
- Upselling: Maximize revenue opportunities by suggesting additional items such as beverages sides and specials.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff bussers and other servers to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Compliance: Follow all food safety sanitation and liquor handling regulations as well as hotel and restaurant policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience as a server in a fullservice restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication multitasking and organizational abilities. A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Appearance: Maintain a professional and polished appearance in line with Hyatt Centrics standards.
- Flexibility: Ability to work early mornings weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand walk and carry trays for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
