Environment and Safety Advisor
Location:Manchester region

Overview:
- A large manufacturing business with a varied client is creating a brand new position!
- An exciting opportunity for an Environmental professional with a keen interest in Health and Safety.
- This role will focus primarily on environmental responsibilities while supporting continuous improvement in health and safety across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the environmental management system in line with ISO14001 standards.
- Conduct internal training on EHS topics and communicate effectively on environmental issues.
- Support internal HSE auditing conduct audits and maintain ISO14001 compliance.
- Respond to customer/regulator requests providing sustainability and environmental data.
- Develop carbon footprinting methods and monitor Scope 13 emissions.
- Maintain the environmental legal register and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Support the implementation of ISO45001 and drive continuous improvement in health and safety.
- Assist in risk assessments accident investigations and policy implementation.
- Host customer and thirdparty audits and recommend new accreditations when necessary.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Environmental focused qualification
- Minimum of 1year experience in an environmental compliance role.
- A Safety based qualification or understanding
- Experience with ISO14001 principles
- Strong administrative skills and ability to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
