South Coast Baptist College is looking for a motivated and techsavvy Casual IT Assistant to support our Information Systems & Technology (IST) department. This is a great opportunity for a young person interested in technology to gain handson experience in a school setting while making a meaningful contribution to the learning environment.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining IT and AV equipment including computers projectors printers networking devices and audiovisual systems.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware software and AV system issues.
- Triage technical issues and escalate if necessary.
- Support teachers and students with technologyrelated questions.
- Help manage and maintain schoolissued devices (e.g. laptops tablets).
- Assist in updating technical procedures and create user guides.
- Support the tagging of IT assets and updating the IT asset database.
- Participate in ITrelated projects such as device rollouts and system updates.
- Ensure proper handling and security of IT assets.
- Other duties as assigned by the IT Team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Passion for technology and a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Familiarity with Operating systems (Windows OS Chrome OS Apple iOS)
- Basic understanding of networks (e.g. LAN WAN WiFi)
- Good problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Responsible reliable and detail oriented.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
- Industry certifications preferred but not mandatory.
