4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

Job Duties
In assigned region serve in a fiduciary capacity to plan direct coordinate & implement physical safety activities policies & procedures pertaining to the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) Safety & Crisis Section & Training Program:
* This position is remote but will require travel to & from schools several days per week by state assigned vehicle.
* Position is identified as safety sensitive & subject to random drug & alcohol testing in accordance with DPS 501.24.
* Must complete annual training to retain and build skills as a firearms operator and instructor in accordance with OSSC policy.
* Position is unclassified pursuant to ORC 124.11(A)9 and serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

Ohio School Safety Center
The Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) is a division of the Ohio Department of Public Safety who supports all Ohio schools and first responders in preventing preparing for and responding to threats and acts of violence including selfharm through a holistic solutionsbased approach to improving school safety. Using a crossdisciplinary approach the OSSC will provide resources to schools to enhance their strategies for safety and emergency plan development.
Our goal is total commitment in supporting all schools in ensuring the safety of students employees and visitors through effective policies and procedures training and community and interagency involvement. The OSSC assists public and private PreK K12 and Higher Education institutions.
