To sustain and underpin our growth we have invested over 35 million in a brand new 5acre site which includes state of the art machinery and automated production lines critical to our future success.
We are looking for an up and coming ambitious and motivational leader to join our team as Production and Warehouse Manager where you will manage lead and coach our operational teams across production and warehousing. You will own develop and drive continuous improvement throughout our new facility to support achievement of our business goals.
Our Production Manager will:
Have responsibility for our brand new highly automated production and warehouse site maximising efficiency and developing a continuous improvement and lean management culture
Set communicate and drive the department vision inspiring and motivating your team to achieve department performance against agreed key performance indicators recognising success and encouraging collaborative cross team working
Lead from the front setting individual and team SMART objectives carrying out regular one to one meetings and building a positive and open culture across the team
Own responsibility for capacity planning preparing annual budgets and proposing capital and operational expenditure and reporting and presenting to key stakeholders
Our Production Manager will bring:
A minimum of 5 years experience of working in an automated manufacturing production environment and a thorough understanding of manufacturing and warehousing principles and processes ideally gained within a chemical pharmaceutical food or beverage background
Experience in successfully coaching and developing operations talent with the proven ability to lead inspire coach and manage teams to deliver results
Experience of leading teams through transformational change and evidence of using your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and negotiate to drive and implement change while bringing the team with you
A positive mindset high level of personal drive independence and openness to learning
Knowledge of quality principles lean manufacturing and continuous improvement such as Six Sigma Lean Kaizen visual management OEE IOSH/NEBOSH certification
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or perhaps a formal Leadership and Management qualification
Project management experience
