We support people aged 55 with varyingcare and support needs to live independently in their own home.We offer high quality living in our 63 apartments with a variety of onsite facilities including assistive technology 24/7 on site wellbeing and care provision restaurant/caf hair and beauty salon communal lounge and landscaped gardens.

Were looking for new Housing Concierges to join our growing team. Here at Home Group we look after our vulnerable customers but also those with quite complex care needs. Your job will be to make sure our customers are safe our buildings are secure and pleasant places to be and that we get on with our neighbours.

Typical shift as a Housing Concierge

• If you want a bustling security job then this is the job for you!
• There is so much more involved than just night working stuck in an office monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises.
• The first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network arent around to help!
• Youll manage the health and safety of the building patrolling to check fire doors making sure everything is locked and secure.
• Thinking on your feet and manage a situation on the spot such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services.
• Youll also be our first point of contact for customers during the night needing to report an emergency maintenance issue and will need to work with our oncall managers and contractors to fix the problem!

• Calm under pressure with great communication skills
• You get a kick out of supporting the most vulnerable in society (maybe youve worked in public service or the military). You know whats required to look after the public and our customers too.
• Youre sociable and interested in people and their stories and like getting to know people. You use your people insights and keen eye for detail to spot changes in behaviour.
• You recognise when things are about to go wrong and are confident intervening in a sensitive way.
• A team player with the confidence to work alone. Dont worry youll have the full back up of our wider team including our out of hours emergency support team.

Our team

Were recruiting a brilliant new team so youre going to be part of a fabulous new Home Group family. Youll be reporting to Pauline Rigby our Community and Wellbeing Manager working closely alongside our housing team and our onsite Care team too. Youll have tons of experienced support on hand working within our exciting brandnew service!

Job details

• You will be working weekday evening shift 30 hours per week) covering 4pm to 10pm Monday to Friday.
• To keep our records right and our customers safe youll also need to be technologically savvy to complete records and use our systems (or at the very least not be a technophobe!.
• Although youll work evenings we do get together regularly in the daytime for training and team meetings.
• Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
