Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategic Management:
Lead mentor and develop a team of estimators providing training and performance feedback.
Establish and implement best practices standards and processes for cost estimation.
Develop strategic plans for the estimation function aligned with company objectives.
Cost Estimation Oversight:
Oversee the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects including commercial residential and infrastructure.
Review complex bid proposals ensuring costeffectiveness risk management and alignment with project specifications.
Manage estimation workflows to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Bid & Proposal Management:
Review and approve bid submissions ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
Collaborate with business development teams to develop strategies for competitive bidding.
Analyze market trends to optimize cost estimation practices.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
Identify potential risks related to cost procurement and project .
Recommend risk mitigation strategies to project teams and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Coordinate with project managers engineers procurement teams and clients to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Present cost analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Minimum 12 years of experience in construction cost estimation with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods materials contracts and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. ProEst Sage Estimating CostX) and advanced Excel skills.
Exceptional leadership decisionmaking and strategic thinking abilities.
Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills.
