SchoolBased Technology Clerk
The role is to assist staff and students in accessing and using technology to meet requirements related to job performance and learning needs. On the job training will be provided. This position provides routine and repetitive support in the areas of technology infrastructure information technology and educational technology. This position will involve travel between Ecole St. Anne Ecole St. Mary and St. Joseph Schools in Whitecourt.
The successful candidate should:
- Possess strong communication interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Exhibit strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently learn new concepts and technologies
- High School Diploma is required
- As travel is involved a valid Drivers License and vehicle is required equivalencies will be considered
- Experience within IT and/or educational settings is preferred
An overview of keys duties and areas of responsibility include:
- Maintain technology and device inventories. Work with the Supervisor of Technology to ensure technology requirements are met.
- Providing educational technology support to staff and students through mentoring and coaching in the use of technology.
- Providing Tier 1 daytoday technology support for students staff and school administration to help ensure all hardware and software is functioning operational and ready for use by students and staff. This may include such duties as reimagining machines installing applications updating software and peripheral setup/configuration.
- Troubleshoot basic issues with interactive TVs projectors computer devices and other technology within the school.
- Work with the Network Administrator to support and resolve any computer and network technical issues.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace for Education.
- Promote and facilitate the use of quality learning resources in multiple formats and provide exposure to a wide variety of educational technology and Apps.
