About us

Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation (RDAC) was established as an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in 1992 to improve the social health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people. RDAC is a leading provider of primary health care and related social and family support services to Aboriginal people and communities across Wellington Shire Latrobe Valley & Baw Baw Shire regions.

About the role

SCHADS 6.1 dependant on qualifications and experience

Based in Morwell VIC 3840

The Aboriginal Team Leader is a leadership position in a Support and Safety Hub (known as The Orange Door Network).

The Aboriginal Team Leader will be responsible for providing team leadership and advice to our Aboriginal team and The Orange Door Network workforce on culturally safe and inclusive specialist family violence services child and family services and perpetrator interventions.

The Aboriginal Team Leader will provide secondary consultations to internal and external stakeholders and proactively build cultural safety and competence in The Orange Door.

Requirements for the role

  • Relevant Degree in Community services or as per recommendation 209
  • Current Victorian Working With Childrens Check or ability to obtain
  • Satisfactory criminal history check
  • Satisfactory pre employment drug & alcohol screening
  • Immunisation requirements as per Ramahyuck policy
