Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the assessment planning implementation evaluation and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Outpatient medical consultation services under supervision of a physician in our medical office.
- Evaluating diagnosing and treating new and existing patients medical conditions.
- Conducting followup patient care.
- Ordering and interpreting lab radiology and other diagnostic study results.
- Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate.
- Answering emergency telephone calls on a rotating schedule.
- Administer and order for patients.
- Complete all notes/tasks in patients EMR account indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
- Perform patient physicals.
- Providing health education to patients and families.
- Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum 1year clinical experience in Family Practice or Urgent Care required
- Masters in Nursing
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
- Current APRN licensure in Georgia
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration preferred
