Join the Canacre team in an exciting role working on leading edge infrastructure projects.
We are technical experts in land energy and transportation development delivering accurate innovative and agile solutions to our partners. We provide land acquisition geospatial mapping data management webbased GIS community relations land feasibility studies and permitting services. Canacres clients include developers large scale service providers and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects rights of way resources and infrastructure across the United States and Canada. Canacre works on highvoltage transmission lines pipeline projects largescale wind and solar power projects municipal roads projects and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

The Title Abstractor searches and analyzes public records in order to find review and evaluate documents related to surface and mineral rights ownership. They also produce accurate detailed reports summarizing research establishing land and mineral right ownership.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The Title Abstractor searches and analyzes public records in order to find review and evaluate documents related to surface and mineral rights ownership. They also produce accurate detailed reports summarizing research establishing land and mineral right ownership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research titles deeds wills and related documents to establish property ownership
- Use courthouse computer systems to examine property and tax assessment records for compilation of information about a specific property
- Copy or summarize recorded documents such as leases right of ways and judgments affecting specific property
- Examine liens judgments leases plat books maps contracts and agreements to verify legal description ownership and restrictions
- Create and review run sheets deed plots and flowcharts for abstracts and title opinions
- Lead preparation of detailed Ownership Reports
- Research and abstract oil and gas leasehold interest ownership
- Submit reports and results from researching liens mortgages right of ways easements back taxes mineral coal oil and gas ownership and verification of current surface ownership
- Provide quality research and reports based on client needs and criteria
- Perform other duties as required
- 5 years of experience as a Title Examiner in the Energy (Oil and Gas Renewable or Right of Way) Commercial Title sectors or other relevant experience.
- Ability to read and understand maps and plans
- Ability to review complex legal documents to obtain and understand legal property descriptions
- Ability to deed plot complex legal descriptions
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills and a committed team player
- Selfdriven and selfmotivated problem solver
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Word and Excel
- Works well under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Able to organize and set priorities handling multiple tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of common title issues and curative measures
- Ability to learn new computer programs rapidly
- Capacity to be flexible multitask and maintain a great attitude
