Job Description
TheMechanicalDrafter/Designer is a contract position hired to work underClientstechnical direction policiesand procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Assistwith preparation of engineering drawings for all construction and fabrication work including detailed drawings asbuilts schematics and flow diagrams P&IDs and piping isometric drawings
Workwith engineersin order todeterminepiping specifications and specialty items
Providedrawing production work including problem analysisdesign layout and calculations
Workunder the direction of a Lead Mechanical/Piping Designer and providing advanced Microstationdrafting and design services by preparing andmaintainingmechanical and piping engineering drawings for usein fabrication and construction
PrepareMicrostation3D designs from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches diagrams or schematics
Assistmanagement in verifying compliance with applicable design standards
PrepareLine Lists ManualValve Lists and Drawings Lists
Maintain and updateengineering drawing files and incorporating piping changes modifications and new construction into existing plant drawings using AutoCAD
Recommendmodifications and changes for designimprovement and simplification
Producecomplex technicaldrawings and piping isometrics
Prepareworking drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product
CoordinateCAD projectswith other discipline personnel
MaintainP&IDs ISOs and other constructionblue print
Develop sketcheson proposed drawings flow sheetsand develop completed designs from sketches
Work with engineering other professionalsand SMEsin ordertoobtain input to recommendation
Requirements:- Experience with a CAD program
