Essential Job Functions:

1. Responsible for eliciting analyzing and documentinghighlevel business requirements.

2. Responsible for identifying evaluating and recommendingpotential solution options.

3. Responsible for analyzing the feasibility and cost benefitof potential solution options.

4. Responsible for managing communications between IT andbusiness for assigned work.

5. Assists in formulating and designing system scope andobjective based on user needs and thorough understanding of business processes.

6. Works with internal business groups on process improvementprojects designed to improve business results.

7. Provides technical guidance concerning businessimplications of application development projects.

8. Gathers and analyzes information and supports applicationissues for a specific business group.

9. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplishgoals.

10. Collects and defines requirements translates intofunctional design documents and participates in the technical design testplanning and user documentation processes. Does this happen now

11. Participates in software design prototyping and testing ofnew or enhanced applications.

12. Works with users and peers in planning developingimplementing and supporting new or existing applications.

13. Assists in training users on new or enhanced applications.

14. Supports the planning and of User AcceptanceTesting (UAT).

15. Anaylse new requests and create user stories

InsuranceExperience

1. Strong understanding of insurance principles underwritingprocesses and underwriting technical insurance products especially in theline of underwriting insurance.

TechnicalSkills

1. Competency in using underwriting software and tools.

2. Familiar with insurance specific software and platforms.

TechnicalExperience

1. Experience in working with legacy systems. Skilled inanalyzing legacy systems. Preparing training and guide documentation for alegacy system a plus.

CommunicationSkills

1. Strong written and communication skills to effectivelycommunicate complex underwriting concepts to various stakeholders includingunderwriters actuaries and management.


TechnicalWriting Skills

1. Ability to research and gather information about softwareand translate that information into technical training guides for otherbusiness analysts solution architects and developers.

2. Knowledge of instructional design principles to structurethe training materials effectively including defining learning objectivesorganizing content logically and creating engaging exercises and examples.


Other Functions:

1. Complies with proper internal controls as necessary toconduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrativeactivities at the Company.

2. Perform special projects and other duties as may beassigned.

3. Establishes and builds strong working relations andpartnerships with Business Units and Senior Management.

4. Must have used Service NOw and ADO.




Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree preferred (preferably in MIS ITor Business)

810 years experience preferred

Excellent problem solving andanalytical skills

Experience writing business requirements andfunctional specs

Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC

Experience with UI/design specs/wireframes

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Visio ExcelWord PowerPoint and Access)

Knowledge of UML and BPMN

Knowledge of activities tasks practices anddeliverables associated with eliciting and clearly defining and documentingrequired business functionality as well as nonfunctional requirements

Knowledge of formal methodologies for planning andexecuting application development enhancement or support

Knowledge of tools and techniques for designdevelopment and support of Client/Server applications

Ability to write business requirements and functionalspecifications

Strong writing and communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation (responsiveconsultative collaborative and accurate).

Strong interpersonal relationship building skills:able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive andcollaborative manner

Strong analytical ability with the capability todetermine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions.

Strategic thinking; Applies organizational acumen toidentify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Superior attention to detail.

Ability to juggle multiple competing frequentlychanging timesensitive deadlines and priorities.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
