Through your 2 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting youve proven that youre able to anticipate client needs and then deliver on your commitments in a timely manner. Youre a peopleperson able to express yourself articulately thanks to your excellent verbal and written communication skills. When its practical to do so you support your team by thinking outside the box to develop new ideas to get the job done efficiently. Youre also a selfstarter with the ability to work well independently when needed.

What will you do

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more but we can discuss those in person.

• Oversee the Job Cost process ensuring that all capital projects and leasing commitments are managed tracked and closed in a timely manner
• Facilitate monthly and quarterly meetings with project managers to discuss project status and interpret the financial implications on reporting
• Perform accounting transactions for various projects including monthly calculation and booking of accruals for project costs and management fees
• Manage the construction billing process ensuring request are accurately documented and coordinate with Revenue Control and Accounts Payable team to ensure processed promptly
• Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports
• Analyze leasing documentation and collaborate with asset management team to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of leasing costs
• Ensure reference materials are properly documented and department templates are maintained
• Develop and deliver adhoc reporting as required
• Field queries from Job Cost users and work to provide solutions

What type of experience and skills do you have

• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in accounting finance or business
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent organization skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Experience with JD Edwards system an asset but not required
