Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Elementary Counselor K6QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSMinimum of Masters Degree in School Guidance & Counseling with an accredited educational institution. Other requirements per job description. REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalJOB GOALS: Implement the educational program for Job Functions:To teach guidance curriculum as outlined by ADE standardsTo counsel individual and small groups of studentsTo consult with teachers parents and staff regarding students developmental needs and specific information about their studentsTo refer students with problems and their parents to special programs and/or outside servicesTo participate in activities which contribute to the effective operation of the schoolTo assist with testing as needed including small group creationsTo plan and evaluate the campus counseling programTo pursue continuous professional growthTo serve as liaison with the schoolbased mental health agencies/teamsTo collaborate with other counselors in the district on the creation implementation and evaluation of the Districts comprehensive school counseling planManage program budgets and resources accurate and complete student records as required by laws district policies and administrative staff meetings and serve on committees as for other duties as teaching duties as needed throughout the OF EMPLOYMENT:Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule.
