The Job
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Surgical Technicianswho assist medical staff with surgical procedures in the operating room. Duties include checking supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures; settingup sterile tables with instruments sutures blades electrosurgical equipment suction prosthesis and solutions needed for procedures; counting sponges needles and instruments with circulator prior to procedures; inventorying supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures before incisions are closed; and gowning and gloving surgeons assistants and other operating room staff.For more detailed information refer to the Surgical Technicianjob description.ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTERLocated on a beautiful 70acre campus in Colton California 50 miles east of Los Angeles) Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a stateoftheart public/nonprofit 456bed university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino Riverside Mono and Inyo) a comprehensive stroke center level I trauma center and a freestanding inpatient behavioral health center. Additionally ARMC operates five communitybased primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM) the Inland Empires newest medical school.

Availability:Candidates must be available towork all shifts which include day night swing weekends and holidays.
PreEmployment Process:Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history and education.Certification: Applicants chosen for this position must possess a valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire.

- Candidates must meet one 1 of following options:
- Option 1: Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program within the past two 2 years.
OR - Option 2: Six 6 months of experience assisting surgeons and medical staffin an acute care operating room or outpatient surgery center.
