The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering Construction and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for an energized and collaborative Electronics Supervisor (Electronics Technician III) to be a part of the DECMConstruction Operations Team in Raleigh NC. This position reports to the Electrical Construction Manager and is responsible for supporting the electrical construction team.
A successful candidate for this Electronics Supervisor (Electronics Technician III) position shall have strong background in building fire alarm life safety systems internet and phone communication systems tool control systems video surveillance systems electronic and pneumatic security control systems perimeter security systems and building automation systems; strong decisionmaking capabilities; excellent team collaboration skills; and highlevel communication skills. The Electronics Supervisor works handson and side by side executing mentoring supervising and approving electronics installations performed by other personnel and volunteer incarcerated offender labor resources.
This position will be assigned a Stateowned vehicle for business use only. This is a fulltime position 40 hours per week) with State Benefits. The work schedule is Monday Thursday and may require some weekend work and overnight travel to meet the demands of the organization.
As of January 1 2025 there are new Salary increase adjustments to the States pay plan which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission. Effective January 1 2025. The new salary range (s) will be $48222.00$84388.00.

Associates degree in electronics from an appropriately accredited institution and three 3 years of progressive experience in the repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems including some responsibility for the design of electronic apparatus; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Based on the nature of work performed may require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission.
We support the Institutions and Facilities directly and indirectly by installing and maintaining kitchen plumbing mechanical electrical and electronics equipment. The DECMEngineering team consists of experts in architectural and engineering design property services project management and sustainability efficiency and resiliency (SE&R). These services support new construction renovation and likeinkind and upgrade maintenance repairs to the agencys physical plant while ensuring compliance with the NCDOA State Construction Office.
Through valuable rehabilitation and training for offenders we aim to improve recidivism rates. DECMConstruction undertakes construction renovation and major maintenance projects that involve longer periods of resource allocation with a focus on enhancing the departments infrastructure assets. DECMMaintenance which encompasses the Mountain Regional Yard Piedmont Regional Yard Coastal Regional Yard and three Satellite Yards provides essential plumbing HVAC/R and electrical preventative prescriptive and routine maintenance services to all Institutions and Facilities. Additionally our maintenance efforts include specific areas such as telecommunications electronic intrusion systems (EIS) fencing cameras fire alarms and energy management systems all focused on maintaining the Departments infrastructure assets.
DAC uses the MeritBased Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.
