Description
Reports To: Executive DirectorFLSA Status: NonExempt FulltimeSchedule: MF 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.; evenings weekends and Holidays/Holy days as needed

Summary: The primary function of a Producer/Multimedia Journalist is to perform the appropriate production assignments as determined by the executive director. These assignments include but are not limited to shooting directing and editing programs promos and other similar video projects running audio video photography design and build motion graphics for video set design and construction setting up and running lighting operating television cameras editing video for broadcast production and social media including nonlinear editing and long form projects.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate video cameras assist in set construction/development direct and edit recorded live video productions special projects run audio setup lights in the studio as well as in the field
  • Coordinate all aspects of production
  • Plan details such as framing composition camera movement sound and talent movement for each shot or scene
  • Trim film segments to specified lengths reassemble segments in sequences that present stories with maximum effect
  • Determine specific audio/visual effects and music necessary to complete films
  • Set up/operate computer editing systems electronic tilting systems video switching equipment and digital video effects to complete a final product
  • Operate news studio and control room switcher studio lights audio board studio cameras and prompter
  • Design and execute motion graphics for video
  • Follow station guidelines regarding story/programming approval and traffic deadlines
  • Create content for social media
  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self others.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral policy is mandatory.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree (B.A. or equivalent from twoyear College or technical school and/or additional relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Experience:

  • Two 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium software preferred specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Practicing Catholic or familiarity with the Catholic Church preferred

License and Credentials:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license
  • Valid vehicle insurance

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in production experience
  • Editing experience using Adobe CC which includes Premiere Photoshop and After Effects;
  • Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office;
  • Solid shooting and lighting skills;
  • Teamplayer who can produce good stories under tight deadlines;
  • Must be detail oriented organized selfmotivated work well independently and on a team;
  • Must have good written and verbal skills;
  • Must have good critical thinking and problemsolving skills.

Travel Requirements: Travel requirements for the position includes 40 local and 0 overnight.
