In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate verify and validate our products. We put our systems together exercise them in the lab or in the field measure and analyze performance and make sure our products work the first time and every time.
To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces develop test environments and work handinhand with our customers.
We are seeking a Principal Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join our Engineering team in Springfield Virginia for the role of Site Technical Lead.
In this role primary responsibilities will be comprised of approximately 20 site leadership activities and 80 technical systems engineering and program .
What You Will Do
The site leadership activities include being responsible for communicating and coordinating with customer representatives providing daily status facilitating visitor access requests and conducting tours and communicating directly with factory leads and program management office.
The technical systems engineering and program role include supporting the daily of activities on a complex satellite ground system supporting internal and external stakeholder maintenance activities supporting biweekly operational software deliveries and performing onsite E2 triage and support during business hours with afterhours oncall expectations.
Oversee and support the onsite team of engineers
Provide regular updates to the onsite SETA team via a daily status page and inperson engagements
Support weekly SETA and team lead technical tagups
Support Change Management Board meetings as needed
Provide technical SME support as an onsite E2 Systems Integration & Test Engineer
Work in a classified lab on site
Work in an Agile program environment
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 8 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree in (STEM)
Experience working onsite in a badge less environment with multiple stakeholders
Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system problems
Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking command and telemetry launch operations flight dynamics mission planning onorbit operations)
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira Confluence Bitbucket)
Experience with Test Automation (Cucumber Gherkin homegrown)
Experience with Java C or Python Experience with Linux operating system
