Job Description
Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Union often referred to as the heart and soul of the University of WisconsinMadison has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928 when the doors to Memorial Union opened the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UWMadison campus. The Union connects students faculty staff members and visitors through shared cultural social and recreational events and experiences.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Provide overall support for catering and dining areas at the Fluno Center
- Assist with preparation of catering events dining areas and break stations.
- Event set up and tear downs set up buffet lines and break stations refresh food and supplies
- Provide table services as necessary making menu recommendations entering orders into POS systems and collecting payments
- Maintain proper sanitation at all times report hazardous situations immediately
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled as a student at a college or university
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Customer Service Skills
- Positive attitude
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to stand or walk for majority of shift
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and push or pull 100 pound carts
Student Status
To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions you must be currently enrolled in a college university or highschool (at least 16. It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment.
