Locally here in Atlantic Canada we boast a very deep and talented team of more than 200 staff who collaborate seamlessly across our six 6 office locations in Halifax Sydney Moncton Fredericton Saint John and St. Johns.

Your Challenge:

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our New Brunswick team in Moncton NB. Not only will you be given an opportunity to help bring local geotechnical projects to life; but you will also have a chance to collaborate with EXP team members across North America on some very large and challenging projects!

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and participating in field investigations and QA/QC inspections;
  • Preparation of proposals and technical reports;
  • Conducting detailed design and analysis for a variety of geotechnical projects;
  • Coordinating on designs with other engineering disciplines for multidisciplinary projects;
  • Managing small to medium sized projects including cost monitoring schedule control communications with clients and contract documentation; and
  • Support the development of the Earth & Environmental group by developing relationships with existing and future client contacts attending meetings and supporting Business Development initiatives.

The Skills & Knowledge You Bring:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university;
  • Must be registered with APEGNB as an EIT or P.Eng;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in geotechnical and/or civil engineering;
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to communicate in French is an asset;
  • Motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in a team environment;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated interest and sensitivity toward occupational health and safety and our quality management system; and
  • Willingness and ability to travel for project work including having an active drivers license.
