The Financial Services Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members by assisting with loans and opening new member accounts.
Loan Origination: Guide members and potential borrowers through the consumer loan process. This includes informing them about credit union loan policies and services conducting interviews completing applications and handling preliminary loan documentation. Present loan alternatives credit criteria interest rates and documentation to encourage positive member responses.
Loan Processing: Conduct necessary followup to achieve conditional loan approval within established timeframes. Notify members about loan status particularly in cases of problem ratios or credit ratings. Clearly explain loan denials to ensure member understanding.
Disbursal and Counseling: Explain the disbursal of loan proceeds repayment obligations insurance requirements and loan policies to members. Assist with SFCU loan products by providing relevant information such as book values loan payoffs and rates. Actively crosssell various credit union services and provide financial counseling and education.
Account Maintenance: Assist members with account changes and maintenance including name or address changes adding/removing joint members account number changes and more. Process telephone withdrawals direct deposits payroll allotments automatic payments check orders and ATM/debit card applications.
Report Processing: Handle various reports collect and refund fees as applicable. Verify eligibility for potential members and establish savings/checking accounts adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
IRA Management: Process IRAs including setup deposits rollovers transfers and fund disbursements according to member requests.
Member Support: Provide timely responses to member questions requests and resolve any issues. Maintain a positive and cooperative approach with all members and employees.
Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality and security of all credit union information and documents.
Additional Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management including participating in special projects and research. Attend all staff and departmental meetings and comply with all credit union policies and procedures. Crosstrain and support other staff roles as needed. Participate in ongoing staff training.

Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Valid drivers license required.
A minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
Associates or college credits preferred.
