Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care to companion animals as well as some exotic species ensuring optimal health and wellbeing.
- Perform surgeries and procedures including routine spays/neuters orthopedic and softtissue surgeries.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries providing timely and effective care.
- Advise clients on health preventative care and lifestyle choices for their pets.
- Maintain accurate medical records and offer clear compassionate communication with clients regarding their pets conditions and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian (new graduates are welcomementorship options available).
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in Alaska.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
