Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer specializing in backend development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building customizing and maintaining highperformance WordPress websites. You will play a crucial role in developing custom themes and plugins optimizing website performance and ensuring the scalability and security of our web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Development: Design develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of WordPress sites including database optimization caching and server configurations.
- Security: Ensure all WordPress websites are secure by implementing best practices and staying uptodate with the latest security trends and patches.
- Database Management: Design implement and optimize MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- API Integration: Implement and manage thirdparty integrations using RESTful APIs and other methods.
- Version Control: Manage code repositories using Git ensuring best practices in version control.
- Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality performance and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for backend issues and bugs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers designers and other team members to deliver cohesive and highquality web solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of development processes codebases and user guides for custom solutions.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress backend development.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in PHP MySQL JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 and RESTful APIs.
- WordPress Knowledge: Deep understanding of WordPress standards to develop themes and plugins.
- Performance Tuning: Strong experience with website performance optimization techniques.
- Security Best Practices: Indepth knowledge of WordPress security best practices and techniques.
- Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control.
- ProblemSolving: Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented collaborative environment.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- MVC architecture: Experience with any PHP MVC framework such as Laravel.
- Deployment: Familiarity with WordPress Site deployment to any hosting
- WooCommerce: Experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure DigitalOcean or Google Cloud.
- Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Experience with ACF for custom content management.
