Job Description

Job Title:Design AssistantDepartment:Marketing and CommunicationsStudent Employment Type:Federal WorkStudy and NonFederal WorkStudyResponsibilities:
  • Design materials for both print and digital distribution
  • Complete special design projects on an asneeded basis
  • Communicate design strategy and ideas through text and imagery
  • Maintain university branding consistency in all university collateral
  • Assist with design research as required
  • Utilize typography layout and illustration skills to create original design materials
  • Practice proper file management
  • Contribute and assist in design brainstorming and ideation
  • Collaborate with team members on design solutions
  • Stay updated on design trends and provide insights to the team
Qualifications:
  • Must be proficient with current Adobe Creative suite (esp. InDesign)
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understand basic design concepts: layout type color composition
  • Have high standard for organization with an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective time management
  • Must be in good academic standing
Hours of Position:
  • Flexible
