Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Masters degree in the field OR significant experience in the field that is outlined in a Letter of Expertise that is submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. Letter of Expertise are written by the chair of the department which that individual will be lecturing for.
Because this appointment is temporary in nature you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided to faculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave medical or retirement benefits. However you are eligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.

Who We Are
Salary/Pay Range: $1020 per credit hour. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Work Location: Determined by course modality: Oncampus online or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.
Summary
The College of Letters Arts and Science (LAS) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Communication from which future appointments to temporary nontenure track positions will be made. Appointments are parttime (less than 50 time) and will be made semesterbysemester.
The position is responsible for teaching various courses for Communication however exact courses taught will depend on need at the time of hire The courses may be in person or online.
