Overview:

Are you a detailoriented professional with a knack for managing complex contractual arrangements We are seeking a Contract Conformance Specialist (CCS) to oversee the daytoday conformance responsibilities for all executed contractual arrangements of assigned capital and maintenance projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that communication flows smoothly between our company and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of documentation and communication related to contractual relationships.
  • Facilitate the timely identification communication and resolution of contractual matters.
  • Interact with third parties and inhouse departments including legal project management and construction management.
  • Report directly to the Area Construction Manager and indirectly to the Contract Conformance Regional Lead (CCRL).
  • Demonstrate understanding and compliance with Project contracting strategy.
  • Facilitate preparation of contract exhibits including scope specifications pricing and special instructions.
  • Assist in writing technical contract language and coordinate with contract management specialists.
  • Support project management in contractor contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate project team communication plans and participate in contract conformance training.
  • Review contractor documents for compliance and manage change order processes.
  • Prepare and transmit company correspondence and manage contractor correspondence logs.
  • Establish and implement project contract document control and retention systems.
  • Review contractor invoices for compliance and coordinate contract closeout processes.
  • Provide assistance during compliance audits and communicate ongoing project requirements with the CCRL.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent human relations influencing and listening skills.
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships across departments.
  • Familiarity with best management practices for contracting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to crisis prevention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering construction legal technical or business discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in legal engineering construction and/or contract administration preferably in the gas pipeline industry; OR
  • Associates degree with 710 years of relevant experience.
  • Specific knowledge and experience in contracting processes related to energy industry construction projects.
