Our new Group Sales Manager will be an energetic and solutionsfocused individual wholl assist in cementing Urban List Mumbrellas Media Brand of the Year 2023 as the market leader in branded content digital advertising solutions activations and events.
The position oversees a team of Sales Managers who collectively play an integral part in building a culture and reputation of Urban List as being among the very best to work with.
Through their strategic planning and leadership the GSM will be responsible for their teams achievement of revenue targets and commercial goals and will strive to deliver innovative client solutions unparalleled campaign results valued client service and productive longterm client relationships with both our corporate clients and their appointed agencies within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Lead mentor and inspire a team of sales managers to deliver on set KPIs and revenue goals
- Provide ongoing training and support to ensure the team is achieving their potential
- Create and foster a team culture where collaboration and open communication thrives
- Capacity to work collaboratively with all levels of the business from CSuite down
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies that enable their team to meet revenue targets.
- Support their team to develop robust sales plans to achieve deliverables and monitor their performance
- Stay on top of market trends competitor activities and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.
Revenue and Results
- Identify new revenue opportunities with both direct and agency clients
- Adapt to changes in the market and look for innovative ways to drive new revenue wins
- A focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators
Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key senior clients; direct and agencies
- Creating an environment in which Account Managers work closely with clients to understand their marketing objectives and provide industryleading digital media solutions
- Work with their team to resolve issues or complaints and negotiate wins
Market Research and Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends emerging technologies and the competitive landscape to ensure U:L is always at the top of its Sales Game
- Use market research to develop innovative sales strategies and stay ahead of industry changes
Reporting and Feedback
- Stay close to the numbers provide relevant sales data and reporting on a regular basis to CCO and wider sales and commercial teams
Skills & Attributes required for success:
- Minimum of 5 years of managing teams in digital media sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Established relationships within the industry will be highly valued.
- Strategic thinker with proven track record of motivating and guiding a sales team to success
- Deep understanding of the digital media landscape including trends technologies and key players.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate from dayt0day chats to complex digital advertising solutions
- Proven ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Time management ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
