About the Safety Project Assistant CoOp
The Safety Department is a vital resource to all operations of Cannistraro. Our mission is to enhance and improve Health and Safety for all Cannistraro employees. We utilize training positive reinforcement for good safety behavior and communication on several levels. Our primary objectives are to eliminate injuries educate and Build a World Class Safety Culture.
The Safety Project Assistant CoOp would support field operations by promoting a strong safety culture assisting employees with daily safety challenges and ensuring compliance with safety programs. The Safety Project Assistant CoOp would act as a link between field teams and operations helping to build a safe and successful work environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute safety information to field staff.
- Assist with site training and provide consultations before unique tasks.
- Conduct and review toolbox talks sitespecific safety training and safety observation reports.
- Attend preconstruction safety walks job site inspections and ongoing project evaluations.
- Help implement company policies to promote an injuryfree environment.
- Assist the Safety team with incident investigations documentation and OSHArelated tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
- Strong communication skills as ability to collaborate with others is essential
- Detailedoriented and organized with effective time management skills
- Ability to ask the necessary questions to gain full understanding of concepts/tasks
- Demonstrated ability to deal with situations that require integrity
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage shifting priorities
