Description
- Infrastructure software engineering and data engineering (the back end).
- Experience with AWS and familiarity with data services like Redshift S3 RDS Glue and Lambda.
- Writing and maintaining APIs (this is a differentiator)
- Python or Bash scripting
- Basics of SQL and relational databases.
- CI/CD pipeline development (experience with Azure DevOps is a plus)
- Infrastructure as code (IaC) AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
- Expertise with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT) is a plus.
- Semantic / metrics layer configuration a plus.
While the focus in the first few months will be DevOps they may also take on tasks like 1 developing userfacing features which involve special infrastructure outside of just data engineering which will plug into our data pipeline or 2 coding infrastructure to support userfacing features developed by a separate applications team. That Integration / API configuration piece makes it a little less DevOpsspecific.
