The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location ranging from $ 138657 to $173322 plus bonus .
Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Strategic Planning plays a vital role in supporting the Director in developing and executing the longterm vision for the electric system. They will lead a team of planners and analysts to identify emerging trends assess potential risks and opportunities and develop strategic recommendations that align with the utilitys overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis: Conduct indepth research and analysis of industry trends emerging technologies regulatory landscape and competitive environment to inform strategic planning decisions.
Scenario Planning: Develop and evaluate various future scenarios to assess their impact on the electric system and identify potential risks and opportunities for the utility.
Strategic Recommendations: Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership providing datadriven insights and actionable plans to address emerging challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as engineering operations customer service and regulatory affairs to ensure alignment of strategic plans and effective implementation.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives identifying any deviations from the plan and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of planners and analysts providing guidance support and development opportunities to ensure their success.
Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in strategic planning contribute to industry discussions and advocate for policies that support the utilitys longterm objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in system planning strategic planning program development operational excellence or related roles within the energy or utilities industry.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to various stakeholders.
Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence crossfunctional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
Knowledge of industry regulations trends and emerging technologies in the energy and utilities sector.
Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques for identifying trends and insights.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Proven capability of delivering against multiple targets.
Proven ability to lead teams.
Proactive and diligent approach. Resultsoriented.
Excellent interpersonal skills strong team skills; ability to coach and teach others; desire to serve coworkers & customers.
Advanced computer literacy including operation of office automation products (e.g. Microsoft Office Excel PowerPoint Teams etc..
