W International is a world class metal fabricator located in Goose Creek SC specializing in complex critical weldments for the defense aerospace and commercial markets. W Internationals unique facility encompasses 45 acres and over 450000 square feet of manufacturing space on the Cooper River. W International works on some of the leading projects in the industry and can ship via barge rail or articulated vehicle. We are certified to AS9100 Rev. Responsibilities of the Position Include:
- Position align and fit parts to form complete units or subunits following blueprints and layout specifications and using jigs welding torches and hand tools.
- Align and fit parts according to specifications using jacks turnbuckles wedges drift pins pry bars and hammers.
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes rolls shears flame cutters grinders and drill presses to bend cut form punch drill or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
- Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
- Remove high spots and cut bevels using hand files portable grinders and cutting torches.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Must have completed a prior welding curriculum or 1 years on the job weld experience.
- Minimum 1 years experience as a Structural Fitter.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of materials welding and machining
- Demonstrate strong decision making mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fastpaced environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Must have strong ethical values professional attitude and confidentiality.
