About the Role: As Head of Year you will play a central role in shaping the educational and pastoral experiences of students within your year group. You will work closely with senior leadership and teaching staff to create a highperforming supportive environment that encourages both academic and personal development. This senior position requires a confident leader who can manage and inspire both students and staff ensuring high standards of behaviour attendance and achievement.
Key responsibilities of a Head of Year include:
- Leading the development and implementation of academic and pastoral strategies for your year group.
- Managing the performance and progress of students ensuring targeted interventions are in place.
- Providing leadership and guidance to tutors and other pastoral staff.
- Monitoring and improving student behaviour attendance and welfare.
- Overseeing year group events and extracurricular activities to enhance student engagement.
- Collaborating with parents external agencies and the senior leadership team to support student success.
