Job Description
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As theProgram Scheduling Assistant youll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the 24hour programming grid for EWTNs satellite feeds in a proprietary database.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Create and schedule programming grids for EWTNs various satellite feeds.
- Make programming decisions based upon liturgical year special events and special programming.
- Notify various entities of changes and issue memos concerning programming.
- Supply various departments with information regarding Programming Schedule.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive effort on all EWTNs programming platforms.
ABOUT YOU:
- You have previous experience with scheduling/traffic or other database systems with a background in cable or broadcast television.
- You possess a strong familiarity with EWTN programming or willingness to learn.
- You are knowledgeable of the Catholic faith liturgical year and EWTN mission.
- You feel confident working independently and making decisions regarding programming.
- Some of your dominant soft skills include: strong organizational and communication skills detail oriented and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- You possess strong computer skills in a Windows environment including Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel. Otherdatabase experience helpful.
- You hold an Associate/Bachelors Degree or equivalent broadcast scheduling experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of secondary language (Spanish and/or French) would be a huge plus!
