The Production Test Technician III is responsible for conducting functional and performance tests on high voltage power supply units to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of high voltage equipment testing protocols and troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve technical issues.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional environmental and stress tests on high voltage power supply units and components.
  • Lead the validation of new testing protocols and contribute to the development of advanced test strategies.
  • Operate and calibrate sophisticated testing equipment ensuring accuracy and safety in all operations.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues during testing including systemic and componentlevel faults.
  • Provide detailed root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to address design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions or design changes to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in testing procedures troubleshooting techniques and safety protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to crossfunctional teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for high voltage testing and related technologies.
  • Maintain meticulous records of test results findings and corrective actions.
  • Generate detailed test reports and provide actionable feedback to engineering production and quality assurance teams.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of testing documentation and work instructions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve testing workflows equipment utilization and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate new test fixtures and methodologies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation in testing practices and equipment.

What You Need:

  • Associate degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting high voltage power supplies or related electronics.
  • Expertise in using advanced test equipment such as power analyzers network analyzers and high voltage test systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical schematics circuit diagrams and advanced high voltage principles.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues at both system and component levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with diverse teams.
  • IPC610 or JSTD001 certification (Preferred).
  • Advanced training in ESD protection and handling of sensitive electronics.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus. (Preferred).

Our good faith estimate of the wage range for this role is $27.18 $35.12. Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and other factors. In addition to base pay we offer a full benefits package.
