Service Technician-Excavator
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform diagnostics troubleshooting and repairs on excavators and related heavy machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Identify mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues and apply effective solutions.
Customer Support & Service:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers ensuring high-quality service.
- Educate customers on machine operation maintenance and best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering professional and timely service.
Technical Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of service activities including work reports and maintenance logs.
- Use digital tools and diagnostic software to document machine conditions and repairs.
- Provide feedback to engineering and product teams to improve equipment reliability.
Parts & Inventory Management:
- Assist in ordering and managing spare parts to ensure service efficiency.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Compliance & Safety:
- Follow all company and industry safety standards while performing service tasks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory guidelines related to heavy equipment servicing.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy machinery servicing preferably with excavators or construction equipment.
- Technical diploma or certification in mechanical engineering automotive technology or a related field.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics diesel engines electrical systems and diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting machinery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) for reporting purposes.
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Preferred: Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
Other Requirements:
- Dutch citizenship or EU work authorization required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to travel within the Netherlands for service calls.
