Software Developer ExpertProject/Program Name:
STAR/ORPTS Annual Cycle This position will be in support of the STAR/ORPTS Annual Cycle. These projects are legislatively mandated to send out rebates via check to the 2.7 million homeowners in NYS.
Day to Day Tasks:
The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:
Help with technical DB design
Develop new COBOL modules to process rebate checks
Modify existing programs to apply user requested enhancements
Help analyze defects and incident tickets and provide solutions
Help in check creation and annual cycle processing activities and integration testing.
Developing technical design documents and program specifications.
Guiding requirements gathering sessions.
Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.
Coding and performing unit and integration tests of programming.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Software Developer Is involved with all facets of the software development process including the research design programming testing and implementation of computer software.
Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
84 months experience with COBOL programming in an IBM Mainframe Environment
84 months experience with IBM DB2 working with complex databases architecture
84 months experience with TSO (Terminal Sharing Option) in a mainframe environment
84 months experience with IBM MVS JCL (Job Control Language) in a mainframe environment
84 months experience with IBM MQSeries
84 months experience with CICS (Customer Information Control System) in a mainframe environment
84 months of system analysis and design experience for multitiered transactional systems
84 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted componentbased systems
